November 30 has come and gone, meaning HealthCare.gov, the $630 million portal created by the Affordable Care Act that links all 36 federal online insurance marketplaces, should be running smoothly for the majority of users. However, that does not mean the marketplaces are easy to use, especially for individuals trying to compare how different policies cover drug costs. Costs can differ greatly on a plan-by-plan basis, even if the policies are offered by the same insurance company.

Capitol Imaging Services has an affiliate network that employs associates who are experienced in navigating the difficult world of health insurance. Our associates will work with you to understand and identify health insurance benefits and to provide a good faith estimate of any expenses, as a result of your imaging exam, that would be your responsibility to pay.

In being the largest independent radiology practice of its type serving the Southeastern United States, Capitol Imaging Services is a full-service screening and diagnostic testing provider that performs standard imaging such as x-ray, ultrasound, bone density (DEXA) studies and mammograms, and advanced imaging including Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), nuclear medicine and Positron Emission Tomography (PET)/CT. Topping off our imaging portfolio are specialty exams such as angiography, arthrography and fluoroscopy.

Capitol Imaging Services performs not only the scan, such as an MRI or ultrasound, but also provides the radiology expertise to review test images and issue critical findings to physicians and other healthcare providers. Once your exam is complete, your results are usually provided to the prescribing provider within one business day, often sooner.
