For several years, Capitol Imaging Services has been a proud supporter of the American Cancer Society of New Orleans, fighting to end all cancers. Our affiliate, Diagnostic Imaging Services (DIS) has participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events and also added Relay For Life Multi-Parishes to our participation list for 2019.

We invited Whitney from the American Cancer Society to join us for this year’s official donation presentation. Diagnostic Imaging Services’ donation is predicated on the number of screening and diagnostic mammograms performed during the month of October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year’s donation is in the amount of $5,652.

This donation roughly pays for over 110 stays at the Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge. The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge program provides a free home away from home for cancer patients and their caregivers. More than just a roof over their heads, it’s a nurturing community that helps patients access the care they need. The New Orleans Hope Lodge offers a supportive, homelike environment where guests can share a meal, join in the evening’s activities, or unwind in their own private room.

Continuing to support the mission
