Join DIS for Cancer Awareness Night on June 15, 2018

The night will celebrate cancer survivors. The evening is geared toward increasing the number of cancer survivors and to:

  • Raise awareness of risk factors;
  • Stress the importance of screening tests and early detection;
  • Educate people about what they can do to help prevent cancer.

Diagnostic Imaging Services is very passionate about doing our part to work with the community and medical providers on effective screening and diagnostic testing that is often part of cancer screening and diagnosis. For 45 years, DIS has worked tirelessly in bringing the latest technology and techniques that is vital to a doctor’s diagnostic process.

Over and over, research has shown that earlier detection of even the smallest of cancer provides the best opportunity for a healthy outcome in those newly diagnosed. We look forward to celebrating more birthdays and celebrate the night of June 15 with fun, baseball and fireworks!

Join us at the Shrine on Airline

Babycakes players will be sporting a special “Crawdaddy” jerseys (pictured above), which will be auctioned off to benefit the New Orleans American Cancer Society Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge.

The lodge is a unique “home away from home” for those who need warm, caring, no-cost accommodations during their cancer treatment at a New Orleans area medical facility. Hope Lodge not only provides patients with a place to stay, but it also offers a supportive and safe environment where patients can focus on wellness.  The facility is named in memory of Patrick F. Taylor who was a true American hero who believed in the power of the American people.
