December 16, 2013 (Metairie, La.) – Considered one of the leading innovative independent outpatient imaging organizations in the greater New Orleans area, Diagnostic Imaging Services (DIS) has agreed to acquire imaging centers in Covington and Slidell.
Formerly known as Delta Imaging, LLC centers located at 71154 Highway 21 in Covington and 1310 Gause Boulevard in Slidell are now Diagnostic Imaging Services effective December 16, 2013. With these additions, DIS expands to five independent imaging centers, continuing to increase their footprint as the largest freestanding independent outpatient imaging provider in southeast Louisiana.
“We now offer our outstanding imaging and patient guest services from the West Bank to New Orleans and to the west of the city from Metairie to Kenner, and beyond,” said Michael Holmes, Chief Executive Officer of DIS. “We’ve been asked numerous times over the past years, ‘when is DIS going to have a center on the northshore?’ Now, we can say we not only will we have one, but two. DIS is very excited about bringing our level of first-rate patient care, physician service and radiological expertise across the lake and joining the northshore business community,” added Holmes.
Together with the agreement to partner exclusively with Reliant Radiology, LLC, a local radiology group, DIS and Reliant offer an innovative and progressive group of physicians who offer numerous radiology subspecialty expertise that is not only highly valued by fellow doctors and clinical professionals, but also by people who choose to visit DIS for their imaging needs. Combined with imaging modalities from mammography to MRI, DIS will be able to offer diverse high quality diagnostic imaging for residents of the Gulf South region and beyond.
With southshore locations in Metairie, New Orleans and Marrero, DIS is an independent outpatient imaging provider that is home to a warm welcome, pleasant experience and sincere thank you for each person who visits one of their locations. DIS offers a wide range of services that includes MRI, CT, PET/CT, nuclear medicine, ultrasound and radiography, with dedicated women’s imaging that incorporates mammography, hysterosalpingograms, breast MRI and biopsy.
