Diagnostic Imaging Services’ facility in Marrero received a renewal in Computed Tomography (CT). Awarded by the American College of Radiology (ACR), The ACR’s CT Accreditation Program evaluates the qualifications of personnel, the quality control program, MR safety policies and image quality specific to MRI. All providers that bill for CT under part B of the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule must be accredited in order to receive technical component reimbursement from Medicare.
People who are referred for CT studies should make sure that the center they are choosing is accredited in CT. In addition, all DIS CT technologists are registered with the American Registry of Registered Technologists (ARRT). The ARRT tests, certifies, and annually registers more than a quarter-of-a-million radiologic technologists to promote high standards of patient care. They award the “Registered Technologist,” or “R.T.,” designation to individuals who have completed the prescribed classroom and clinical education, passed the appropriate exam, and met the ethics requirements. And, the ARRT ensures their continuing education and ongoing compliance with our high standards by requiring annual registration of their certificate.
You can trust DIS to meet or exceed the standards set for quality, care, reporting and expertise, both in technology and personnel. Call 504-883-5999 or 985-641-2390 for your very own DIS patient experience.
Say YES and spend LESS at DIS. Our average exam prices are hundreds, sometimes thousands less, than those charged by area hospitals and their imaging centers.
