Diagnostic Imaging Services (DIS) received the following note from a woman who came to our Women’s & Advanced Imaging Center in Metairie this month for her Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) exam:

I went for my first MRI today, 11/21/12 & the technician in Metairie was wonderful. She helped me tremendously. I’m claustrophobic, but she talked me through it & made me feel comfortable. I couldn’t have done it without her… thanks again.

We’re proud of our MRI technologist and all our employees who strive to provide the very best possible care for people who choose DIS for their imaging exam needs. We promise, to each and every person who comes to us for tests, a warm welcome, pleasant experience and sincere thank you.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging is often recommended by physicians and other medical providers to examine areas throughout the human body, including the head/brain, spine (cervical, thoracic and lumbar) pelvis and lower and upper joints and extremities. MRI exams may be conducted at times with the use of a contrast dye, although the majority of MRI’s are completed without the use of contrast.
