John P. Stagg, CEO

With over three decades of leadership experience in the healthcare industry, John P. Stagg brings a distinguished background spanning imaging centers, hospital administration, home health and hospice care, physical therapy and rehabilitation, assisted living, skilled nursing, and healthcare financial management. His expertise extends to pharmacy operations and medical management, underscoring his comprehensive knowledge of healthcare delivery and operational excellence.

John has held executive roles including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer in hospital systems ranging from 80-bed facilities to over 300-bed medical centers with annual revenues between $30 million and $125 million. Under his leadership, hospitals achieved recognition as Top 100 in America, twice ranked in the top 4% for employee satisfaction, and consistently scored in the top 3% for patient satisfaction in national surveys.

In 2004, John co-founded Champion Management, LLC, headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he serves as CEO and President. Through Champion, he oversees a diversified portfolio of healthcare companies, including multiple home health and hospice agencies, skilled nursing facilities, and JACOJ Properties and Investments, a property management arm. Collectively, these entities generate over $150 million in annual revenue, exemplifying his business acumen and strategic vision.

Currently, John serves as the CEO of Capitol Imaging Services, LLC, a leading network of over 40 imaging centers across the southeastern United States, with locations in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.

John holds a Master’s in Health Services Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He is a former Diplomat of the American College of Healthcare Executives and an Advanced Member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA, CHFP).

Beyond his professional achievements, John is deeply committed to his community and family. He resides in Zachary, Louisiana, with his wife, Amie LeTard Stagg. They have three children—Collin (married to Lindsay Black), Odom (married to Madison Neal), and Jamie—and three grandchildren: Lillian Claire, John Michael, and Odom Bennett. An avid sports enthusiast and outdoorsman, John is a passionate supporter of LSU Athletics and has served in various leadership roles for the Tiger Athletic Foundation, including as a member of the Executive Committee and chair of the Audit Committee.

In addition, John co-founded Legendz Sports Academy, a nonprofit dedicated to mentoring young athletes, and served as President of the Zachary Athletic Foundation, where he spearheaded the merger of Bronco Backers and Century Club. He is a past finance chair and board member of the Americana YMCA, receiving the Baton Rouge Metro YMCA Volunteer of the Year award in 2016. Active in his church, John serves on the Long-Range Steering Committee and as Chairman of the Men’s Ministry at Galilee Baptist Church in Zachary.
