Capitol Imaging Services offers an extensive portfolio of women’s screening and diagnostic testing throughout our network of screening and diagnostic testing affiliates. As the largest independent radiology practice serving the southeastern United States, we not only perform the scan, such as a mammogram or ultrasound, but also provide the radiology expertise in women’s health that review the images and issue the important findings to physicians and other healthcare providers.
Our women’s health services include screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasound, breast MRI and breast biopsy via ultrasound or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Capitol Imaging Services’ affiliate, Diagnostic Imaging Services, is designated as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology. To our knowledge, Diagnostic Imaging Services is the only non-hospital imaging entity in Louisiana to be awarded this designation, meeting or exceeding standards set by the College for quality, technology, reporting and radiology expertise.
Diagnostic Imaging Services has six locations serving the greater New Orleans and southeastern Louisiana regions. A screening mammogram appointment typically takes about 20 minutes from the time you walk in the door to when you walk out. Other exams will vary in length and our associates can advise you on the time needed for non-screening exams.
