Outpatient Imaging Leadership

Tory Deshotel Named to Radiology Business Forty Under 40
Capitol Imaging Services is proud to share this recognition of outpatient imaging leadership as Senior Vice President of Operations & Integration, Tory Deshotel, has been named to the Radiology Business Forty Under 40 Class of 2025. This honor highlights national leaders advancing outpatient imaging leadership through innovation, operational excellence, and measurable results. Tory’s achievements at CIS demonstrate exactly that.

National Recognition for a Remarkable Growth Story

According to Radiology Business, Tory is “a driving force behind one of the most impressive growth stories in outpatient imaging.” Their profile highlights his leadership role in CIS’s expansion from a single imaging site in 2015 to a nearly 60-site network by 2025, supported by more than $150 million in annual revenue. His blend of operational expertise and IT-driven strategy has made this rapid, successful growth possible.

The CIS Leadership Approach

These achievements reflect not only Tory’s leadership but the strength and vision of the entire Capitol Imaging Services organization. CIS is a growing, dynamic screening and diagnostic testing provider serving communities across the Gulf South and into Texas and Florida. Guided by an experienced leadership team, CIS manages imaging centers that emphasize convenience, comfort, and high-quality care with exceptional pricing.

Patient-Centered Imaging Across the Gulf South

CIS facilities are designed to reduce the stress often associated with medical imaging. Instead of large medical campuses or difficult parking garages, patients park near the front door and step into a calm, welcoming reception area. Our independent centers have earned the trust of hundreds of referring physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, chiropractors and other healthcare professionals due to our focus on patient comfort and quality imaging.

Tory Deshotel’s Role and Responsibilities at CIS

A graduate of Louisiana State University with a degree in information systems and decision sciences, Tory began his career as an IT manager for Champion Management in Baton Rouge. There, he supported multi-state diagnostic imaging facilities, home health and hospice agencies, pharmacies and senior care operations. This early experience built the foundation for his work today in healthcare operations and acquisitions.

Tory joined the Capitol Imaging Services leadership team in 2019 and has played an integral role in shaping the organization’s operational direction. He oversees the Baton Rouge region while managing integration of new acquisitions across the southeast that drives clinical development. With more than 16 years of healthcare management experience, Tory brings deep expertise in business analysis, information system integration, vendor contracting and the complex work of merging newly acquired centers into a unified and efficient network.

At Capitol Imaging Services, Tory works closely with CEO John Stagg on strategic expansion, system standardization and operational consistency across the network. Under his guidance, CIS has grown its workforce from fewer than 200 employees to more than 850, all operating under a unified platform that improves communication, efficiency and the patient experience.

What Sets Tory’s Leadership Apart

Radiology Business notes that “his ability to lead with vision and precision” sets him apart. Tory is known for balancing strategic thinking with hands-on leadership. He ensures that every initiative produces measurable results while maintaining a culture of collaboration and patient-focused service.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tory remains connected to his community. He and his wife Jessie are active in their local service league and are raising their daughters—Jade, Jeanne and Josie—with a commitment to giving back. Tory has been a lifelong supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and is an avid traveler who enjoys exploring new places with his family.

Looking Ahead for Capitol Imaging Services

Tory’s recognition as a Forty Under 40 honoree reflects the spirit of outpatient imaging leadership that defines Capitol Imaging Services: a dedication to patient-centered care, operational excellence and expanding access to high-quality imaging across the region. Under his leadership—and with the guidance of the broader CIS leadership team—our organization continues to advance outpatient imaging leadership across the Gulf South and beyond.

Capitol Imaging Services congratulates Tory Deshotel on this distinguished honor and looks forward to continued growth, innovation and service to the communities we proudly serve.
