Diagnostic Imaging Services (DIS) was pleased to present a check for $6,226 to the American Cancer Society, in support of their efforts to find a cure for breast cancer. DIS was the Flagship Sponsor for the 2012 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event in New Orleans on October 7.

Thank you to our employees and to the women who place their trust in DIS to conduct mammograms, breast ultrasound, breast MRI and breast biopsy examinations as part of screening and diagnostic services for women of all ages.

This donation roughly pays for stays at the Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge. The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge program provides a free home away from home for cancer patients and their caregivers. More than just a roof over their heads, it’s a nurturing community that helps patients access the care they need. The New Orleans Hope Lodge offers a supportive, homelike environment where guests can share a meal, join in the evening’s activities, or unwind in their own private room.

Continuing to support the mission

Diagnostic Imaging Services is committed to supporting the American Cancer Society is its mission to eradicate the disease known as cancer. We hope that one day soon all of us will be able to celebrate many, MANY more birthdays.

UPDATE: Diagnostic Imaging Services became an affiliate of Capitol Imaging Services in 2020. We not only perform the scan such as an MRI, CT or mammogram, but also provide the radiology expertise to review test images and issue the important results and findings to physicians and other healthcare providers.

From all of our associates at Diagnostic Imaging Services and the wonderful employees of the American Cancer Society, we wish you and yours a very happy, safe and healthy holiday season!
